Where I live, circus shows are rare. My kids, for example, have never been to a circus. That’s why they loved playing with Jogo Circus Animals, a circus-themed app in which they feed various animals with their favorite meals.
Jogo Circus Animals
The circus is coming to town and all the kids are excited, but the animal caretaker has fallen asleep. This leaves the animals hungry, and they can’t perform on an empty stomach. It’s now up to your child to play the role of caretaker. They need to visit each animal’s resting area, and feed them with their favorite food.
For example, they can visit Michael the Mouse, who is also a magician, and feed him cheese so that he can successfully perform his magic tricks. They can also visit Amy the tightrope-walking dog and provide her with her favorite dog food.
In each scene, kids can explore the whole screen to find out which object holds fun surprises. The object also wiggles after a while to provide hints on where to tap. The app is fully narrated, with support for several languages including Spanish, German, Russian, Korean, and Japanese.
Parents Need to Know
Jogo Circus Animals is suitable for kids ages 2+. The gameplay is intuitive, and narration is available in 24 languages to cater to a wide audience. You can switch the language by tapping on the flag shown in the main menu.
The app works great without an Internet connection. It doesn’t have any in-app purchases, third-party ads, or links to social networks. The game is fairly laid-back, with no real chance of failing.
Things I Like
It’s cute that all the circus animals are inspired by famous musicians. For example, Bob the Lion is inspired by the legendary reggae musician Bob Marley, whereas Elvis the Elephant is inspired by the rock n’roll king himself. Even though young kids may not know all these musicians, they are friendly characters kids might take a liking to.
Through the app, kids will also giggle at the silly tricks performed by each animal. For example, Biggie the Bear loves to ride around in his unicycle, whereas Whitney the Seal loves to juggle three balls with different parts of her body. Each trick is animated smoothly and accompanied by catchy tunes, which makes them a treat to watch.
Another positive trait that can be learned from the app is the fact that food plays an important role in our lives. We need food so that we can work and play. Through this app, families may discuss the importance of food, what foods are good for our bodies, and how much we should eat.
