Puzzles are excellent to keep children focused and entertained. If your child loves puzzles, then you might want to check out this new app from developer Wee Taps — Wee Puzzles.
As made clear by the name, Wee Puzzles offers a collection of puzzles designed for young children. There are 50 puzzles in all, with a variety of themes. Whether your child is into pirates, dinosaurs, rockets, dinosaurs, gardening, or farm animals, they’re bound to find something they like.
The goal in Wee Puzzles is to drag all the puzzles pieces into their appropriate spots to complete the illustration. What’s clever is that only a few pieces will be available at a time; a new one will only appear once you’ve successfully placed a piece. This keeps the game from getting cluttered and overwhelming.
A puzzle may consist anywhere from 10 to 30 pieces, thus providing varying difficulty levels. Once you’ve completed a puzzle, you’ll be rewarded with a fun animation. You can then choose another puzzle or, if you’d like, replay the one you’ve just completed.
We don’t deny that there are many jigsaw puzzle apps out there, but Wee Puzzles is still worth looking into. Having 50 puzzles in one app means that you’ll have enough content to entertain your children during road trips, airplane rides, etc. It doesn’t hurt either that the app has nice graphics and background music.
One thing we noted in Wee Taps is that unlike many jigsaw puzzle apps, you won’t be able to see the final picture before you’ve placed all the pieces. This aspect of the game really piques a child’s curiosity. It also teaches them to appreciate progress.
If you’re interested in trying out Wee Puzzles, you’d probably happy to know that it contains no third-party advertising and no in-app purchases. Having no text in the app means even young children can join in on the fun. The developer recommends the app for ages 2-5.
