Interactive App ExplorArt Klee Introduces Kids to the Work of Paul Klee

Have you ever heard of Paul Klee? He was a Swiss-German artist whom many regarded as one of the great creative innovators of his time. His portfolio included more than 10,000 paintings and drawings influenced by various movements, including expressionism, surrealism, and cubism. He once said that he wanted to "make the invisible visible" through his work.

Inspired by Klee's passion and creative spirit, developer Lapisly released ExploreArt Klee. It's an interactive picture book that takes you on a tour of Klee's fantastic world. Along the way, you will be able to learn about his life and the things that inspired his art. You also get to see his paintings brought to life with charming 2D animation.

Discover Paul Klee's Works

The app begins by introducing you to Cicero (Cice) and his cat, Ku, who were created by artist Liza Schiavi based on Klee's portrait of Senecio. The two characters serve as your guides and narrator throughout the book. Then, starting at Klee's study, you explore four subjects that were great interest to Klee: nature, music, cities, and puppets.

Toca Tailor

I do not consider myself as a creative person, but I work very hard to become one. Many people believe that creativity is a gift that God has given to a few lucky individuals, but I believe that everyone has that creativity seed in them. It's just a matter of how you cultivate that seed with various inspiring activities.

As a parent, I believe it is my responsibility to provide an inspiring environment where my juniors can play and experiment to cultivate their creativity. On the other hand, setting up such environment on your own is not a trivial task. Fortunately, Toca Boca and their excellent digital toy apps have helped me with this parental task.
